Lucinda, tus cavellos – La Sablonara

Juan de Torres (1596-1679)

A polyphonic song devoted to the exaltation of female beauty. It stands out for its melodic delicacy and vocal balance. It creates an intimate, elegant atmosphere of courtly inspiration.

World premiere of the La Sablonara programme at the Utrecht Early Music Festival, based on the palace songbook of the Royal Chapel at the Madrid court, compiled for the Count of Neuburg during his stay in Madrid at the court of Philip IV around 1625.
