Marche, Air I & Air II pour les matelots (Suite des airs à joüer de ‘Alcione’, 1706) – Angels and Devils

“Alcione”, one of Marin Marais’s great operatic successes, arranged here by Fahmi Alqhai, contains a famous sailors’ march that would in turn be adapted as an English Christmas carol. We hear it together with two airs.
