Summary
La Calle, carnaval mestizo is the outburst of atavistic vigour and cross-cultural fusion. Through jácaras and zarabandas, it shows the most popular and vibrant face of music, an explosion of rhythms that precedes the structure of modern flamenco.
The concert took place at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, a leading cultural venue opened in 1991. Renowned for its excellent acoustics, the theatre hosts opera, concerts and stage productions of the highest level, and is home to the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, making it a benchmark for music and the arts in southern Spain.
