Fandangos<\/strong> – Gugurumb\u00e9<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Composers: Traditional, Santiago de Murcia (1673-1739) and Fahmi Alqhai<\/strong>

In this videotrack <\/em>Roc\u00edo M\u00e1rquez sings a present-day traditional fandango, which Fahmi Alqhai continues with his viola da gamba version of a superb fandango by the guitarist Santiago de Murcia, published in the early 18th century. The piece is part of a programme in which Accademia del Piacere takes to Germany a concert version of \u201cGugurumb\u00e9\u201d, a stage show inspired by the influence of Africa and the Americas on Spanish Baroque music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
