The concert was held at CentroCentro, a cultural venue in the Palacio de Cibeles, in the centre of Madrid. This municipal centre stands out for its contemporary cultural programming and for hosting concerts and artistic activities within series such as SINETIQ. Música sin etiquetas, devoted to innovative music that knows no stylistic boundaries.
The Aragonese composer Gaspar Sanz included Canarios in his treatise Instrucción de música sobre la guitarra española, where he adapts this dance of popular origin, characterised by its lively, marked rhythm, developing variations that highlight the virtuosic and rhythmic character of the baroque guitar.
